Article 4

(a) The age of consent for sexual activity in Links Land is 16 years of age.

(b) Sexual intercourse or acts with a person below 16 years of age constitutes statutory rape, regardless of consent.

Section 4B -- Close-in-Age Exception

(a) A person aged 16 or 17 may engage in consensual sexual activity with a partner no more than 2 years older.

Example 1: A 16-year-old and an 18-year-old (2-year gap) is permitted.

Example 2: A 17-year-old and a 19-year-old (2-year gap) is permitted.

(b) Sexual activity between a minor aged 16--17 and a partner 3+ years older is prohibited unless both parties are 18+.

Section 4C -- Exemption for Minors in Proximate Age

(a) No prosecution shall occur if both parties are minors (under 18) with an age difference of ≤2 years, provided the activity is consensual.

(a) Once the youngest party reaches 18 years of age, the restrictions under Section 4B no longer apply.

Section 4E -- Penalties for Violations

(a) Statutory rape (sexual activity with a minor under 16) carries a minimum sentence of 10 years imprisonment.

(b) Violations of Section 4B(b) (e.g., a 16-year-old with a 19-year-old) are punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment.
